What we liked
- + Exo Terra build matches its wider terrarium equipment range
- + Non-contact reading keeps hands away from hot bulbs and panels
- + Useful for confirming thermostat probe readings at the surface
Trade-offs
- - Priced higher than generic IR guns with similar basic features
- - Surface-only reading, so air temperature needs a probe thermometer
