What we liked
- + The listing describes twice the strength of standard 10.0 lamps with effective UVB emission up to 36 inches, aimed at larger habitats.
- + A pack of 2 means a spare bulb is on hand when the first one is due for replacement.
- + It comes from Zoo Med, an established reptile lighting brand, and the product page states it is made in Germany.
Trade-offs
- - At 46 inches and 54W it needs a matching long T5 HO fixture, so it will not fit the shorter fixtures used for the 34 inch bulb.
- - It is the priciest bulb in the guide because of the two-bulb pack, and the spec sheet gives no distance guidance for your species.
