What we liked
- + The listing calls it chemical free and says it is collected, dried and hand packed in the USA.
- + Listed as making hiding spots and feeding microfauna while returning nutrients to the substrate as it breaks down.
- + Smaller oak leaves are described as good for filling small terrariums and tight corners.
Trade-offs
- - Small oak leaves cover less area than whole magnolia leaves, and the listing does not mention a mix of leaf types.
- - A 1 gallon bag suits a single large enclosure or a few small ones, so large builds may need more.
