What we liked
- + 36 x 18 x 18 inch size keeps the 40 breeder footprint and adds height, listed by the maker as 50 gallons
- + Front sliding doors with a security lock and a screen top with a buckle, so access does not mean lifting a lid
- + Tempered glass base raised 0.5 inch on an aluminum alloy frame, described as waterproof and ready for a substrate heater
Trade-offs
- - Costs well above a plain 40 gallon breeder aquarium, so it only makes sense if you want front access
- - The listing describes black-tinted side and rear panels, so viewing is mainly through the front doors
