What we liked
- + The listing describes a multi ingredient mix that supports a balanced ecosystem, with aeration and drainage for bioactive builds.
- + Listed for sensitive tropical plants such as ferns and mosses, and it is the same Terra Flora blend as the 36 quart bag it replaces.
- + The manufacturer says it helps raise humidity, which suits tropical setups with frogs and crocodile skinks.
Trade-offs
- - At 18 quarts it holds half as much as the 36 quart bag it replaces, and the cost per quart is higher.
- - The product page says it needs a drainage layer, so plan that extra material in the build.
